A 13th century fortress, once the home of the Chigi family it was used as a summer residence by Cardinal Fabio Chigi who later became Pope Alexander VII. Situated between Siena and Asciano, thanks to careful restoration lasting a number of years, in 2003 Castello Leonina was returned to its previous splendour. Nowadays, the Borgo di Pietrafitta has been completely recycled and restored in order to welcome travelers eager to soak in the reassuring charm of tradition while enjoying rooms that have character and offer the most modern amenities. The apartments of the Relais are housed within these structures and have been carefully designed to ensure the privacy of clients. In addition there is a reception, a small meeting room (max. 30 people), and also a cellar.
